Purple Haze Finally coming to a close

The
class of 2016's school year is finally coming to a close. Thursday was
our last day of classes, followed by finals Friday and Monday.
On Tuesday May
31, the first of many ceremonies for seniors was held - Senior Awards
Night. More than 50 scholarships and awards were presented to members
of the class of 2016. Many scholarships are provided by local
organizations such as the Polar Bear Foundation, the American Legion
and DABA, to name a few. We were all excited and grateful to be
recognized. On Wednesday afternoon, the top 15 members of the senior
class were recognized at the Academic Excellence Program. Thursday was
the seniors' last day, followed by the senior countdown at 2:40 p.m.
It's a super exciting event where confetti and silly string are thrown
and pictures are taken as the seniors are together for one of the last
times.
Next week the
seniors have a breakfast and practice for graduation on Wednesday
morning. Graduation will begin at 7:30 p.m. at CLA on June 9. Each
student will receive eight tickets to share with family and friends. If
you are unable to get a ticket, there is an option to watch graduation
online. NHS is partnering with Studio 99 productions to live stream the
ceremony. You can either access the broadcast through Facebook or by
following this link: http://www.st99productions.com/#!live/c18et.
Have a great end of the school year and make sure to congratulate the class of 2016!
