Northern High School holds
graduation

Two hundred forty-seven Northern High School students received their high school diplomas during the 66th Annual Commencement Ceremony at the Christian Life Assembly of Chmp Hill on Friday, June 2.

Pledge of allegiance was led by Salutatorian Makenna B. McGill followed by the welcome address by Senior Class President Blake Mario Rondon. Valedictorian Emma Katharine Fisler gave the commencement address.

Principal Steven R. Lehman Jr. presented the Class of 2017 and Superintendent Eric C. Eshbach accepted the Class of 2017. The school board of directors presented the diplomas.

Local artist creates new mural

Artist Lisé Miller, a Kralltown resident of 31 years, loves to pour her affection for this small town into murals that honor its charming character.

She’s currently working on a 13-by-32-foot mural on the Waggoner building. She previously painted a mural in Kralltown Elementary school in April 1995 that represents an outdoor scene with children from around the world saying “Hello” in their native languages. A number of private homes and businesses also have murals painted by Miller.

Steve Morrett Plumbing Claims DYB Majors Crown7

Starting with a home run from Mason Yohn and ending with a homer from Timmy Bonin, the Dillsburg Youth Baseball Majors Division championship game produced memories under the lights atRyder Field that the players will be talking about for years to come.

Steve Morrett Plumbing Won the Dillsburg Youth Baseball Majors Division championship with a 7-1 victory over Weavers of Wellsville on Frida. Steve Morrett Plumbing was also the Majors Division Regular season champion.
