'Twas the day after Christmas

Dec. 26 is said to be the most depressing day of the year. It is the day when all the hard work of weeks leading up to Christmas has been enjoyed and then dissolved. The presents have been unwrapped and the cookies reduced to crumbs, the ornaments are back in their boxes and the songs are quickly becoming repetitive. It is quite a shame that one of the most joyful and awaited holidays of the year comes to a screeching halt just the day after.

It doesn’t have to be that way though, not at all. It’s true that after Christmas it seems like there is a long winter to push through until spring, but the memories and experiences of Christmas should keep you warm until the sun starts melting that winter snow. So when the decorations are coming down and the tree is put back outside, remember, there are always other Christmases, and the day after is much too soon to forget the Christmas we all just had.
