Mr. Pickle lands on the barrel as a fireworks display lights up the night sky New Year’s Eve, healding in the year 2025.
Heavy rainfall cleared up and temperatures were mild as Dillsburg rang in the New Year with its annual Pickle Drop held in front of St. Paul's Lutheran Church on South Baltimore Street last Tuesday evening. People gathered in the parking lot several hours before the drop to enjoy the festivities, presented by the Dillsburg Community Association. They were kept warm with heaters as they visited the food trucks and stands. Starting at 9 p.m. the crowd rocked to the lively tunes of Nathan Merovich and his band that played until midnight followed by the descent of Mr. Pickle onto his barrel. The revelers cheered as fireworks lit up the night, ending the festivities, ringing in the new year 2025.
