Firefighters battle a house fire in the 1600-block of Fox Hollow Road, Lower Allen Township Monday morning. Fire companies from Cumberland and York counties were on the scene. There was no one home at the time.
Silver Spring Township officials gave a unanimous “thumbs down” to a requested change in a definition of a township zoning ordinance. On Wednesday, the Board of Supervisors hosted a public hearing to consider a text amendment change that would have revised the definition of a “multiple family” dwelling to provide for an “Accessible Residential Multi-Family Dwelling” in the township's Interchange Regional Gateway zone. The change in distinction was proposed by Statewide Partners, LLC, a local developer that wants to build three four-story multi-family buildings off Interstate 81 and Winding Creek Boulevard in Delta Pointe at Silver Spring.
