Shortly Northern York County School Board voted 5-4 to deny the bids to renovate and reconstruct Northern Middle School and construct a new building instead, district administrators, employees and tax-payers have been asking how much money the district has spent on the abandoned project. “The $2.77 M is an accurate estimate for now, and it will be increasing toward $3M until it is all said and done,” District Chief Financial and Operations Officer Jason Young said on April 16. As of April 29, the calculations have reached $2.9 M.
